Default Warrior 350

My buddy has a 2000 Warrior 350, I was riding behind him this weekend and it didn't blow any smoke while riding except for when he let off the throttle. Then a puff of blue smoke came out followed by a little stream of it until he put the throttle back on, then it went away. Does that indicate valve stem seals and/or valve guides? Just want to make sure before I start pulling the head apart.

Also does anyone have a link for a service manual for this quad? It would definitely be nice to have one for the top end rebuild.

sounds like valve seals, but could also be rings. if you're doing the top end, you'll hit'em both anyhow.

That's the plan, I'll tear it all apart and measure everything to find out exactly what needs to be done. I'll probably do a valve job too.

In for a penny... you might as well be in for a pound!
Catch everything up in the top-end at once and you won't be back in there so soon!

That's what I'm thinkin! Now only if i could get my buddy to spend his money on it! It's in pretty nice shape but the plastics got a little messed up when he front flipped it while we were riding. He wants to spend his money on the cosmetics that we can probably fix ourselves instead of the engine.

Remind him that it's an ALL terrain vehicle.. The scratches and tears are the merit badges earned as a result of glorious explorations!
Keep the mechanics in top shape... there's no honor in being towed out of the woods!

That's exactly what I told him. Then I showed him all the "merit badges" my grizzly has acquired (scratches, dents, zip tie stitches, etc.) and I think he might actually go ahead with the engine work
