I've got a 98 Grizz 600 4x4 that I can't get to start. It's got good compression, a full tank of fresh premium gas and spark, lots of it! I pulled the plug out, put a phillips screwdriver inside the boot, cranked it over and the spark will jump a good 1/4 of an inch to ground. BUT! I can't tell for sure but it looks like the spark jumps about 6 times per revolution of the engine. Is this normal? I'm thinking there might be something wrong with either the stator of the CDI box. I was expecting to get one spark per revolution. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
