Yup it's me again...
So the spedo doesnt work on the grizzly. I have a pretty bad oil leak around where the tachometer gear hosuing is on the side of the tranny case... Not sure if that gear is out as well as the oil seal making it not work??? Would that cause it? How can I check to see if the gear is bad before buying it? Thanks so, so much for the help :-) Also, reckon it could just be that the cable running from that gear to the speedo is bad? I'm just not sure how to know which it is.. :-( Last edited by ob3135; 02-20-2012 at 05:42 AM. |

I would guess it's the cable, pull it out and see if you can spin it easily, and if so see if the other end spins when you spin it. That will tell if it's broke or seized. If the cable spins freely the problem may be in the speedo itself. I don't think the gear itself would go bad but I guess you never know.
