my 07 660 is stamped on the left lower frame tube behind the control arm, but in front of the floorboard

They title them in Texas? We're only getting a transferable registration up here... The info is taken off of the M.S.O. Do you still have the packet that your ownership paperwork came in? A lot of dealers will put the V.I.N. on the outside flap of that.

we have to title them in PA also. if you have the owners manual, there is a place in it to write down the VIN# and key code. they may be written down in there if the dealer did his job.

Our cheap state... only ten bucks to register the things, but no trails. With a transferable registration, just about any stolen machine that's got its paperwork on board is gone forever!

Yep Bob......TX is gonna get every dollar they can off of everything they can. A title means a title fee for the state.I'm surprised they haven't made us start tagging them like a motorcycle.....that would be some extra bucks they could milk us out of. Anyway......the number is not on my manual, its on the machine somewhere so I'll just keep looking......

PA hits us for a title fee and then we DO have to get a plate like a motorcycle. $20 every 2 years for registration. the money from the registration is SUPPOSED to go to building and maintaining ATV trails, however the state has been using that money to build bicycle and walking trails. the people who use those trails pay NOTHING! EVER! we're also REQUIRED to have insurance.(the state is probably getting a kick back from that too!)

did ya look on the left bottom frame tube, right behind the lower control arm? this is where the service manual says it should be, and mine is in fact in that location.
happy hunting!
