There was a time when the cold didn't bother me,but I am sick of it now.I go into the garage and tinker around with the Grizzly, and think I am going to go for a ride, but when I open the garage door and the freezing cold blasts in I just turn around and close the door and get pissed off that I can't ride.It hasn't been this cold, this long, in a long time. And I live in the most southern part of Canada.I think it's time to start going to Arizona for the winter, with the Grizzly!!

It's been so **** cold here in NB for all of January. Feb is good so far, If temperatures stick around -10C as it is today, I will be logging some good trail time!

I can relate. The only way it works for me is to dress very warmly and plan a cool ride that'll last most of the day. That way it makes it worth your while to get all dressed up to deal with the temps.

Plus other goodies like handguards and grip heaters make a huge difference...

I grew up in St.Paul MN. Loved it as a kid in the winter, as I grew older and had to deal with it as an adult it sucked. Not as much play time I supose. Got stationed in South Carolina with the USAF in 1983 and only go home to visit durring the peek months. May and October.. They refer to me as a "dam" yankee down here. Thats the kind that don't go back...lol

It's been warm (-5, -10) for the past few days. Logged 300KM over the weekend. The great outdoors!

I still ride @ -20, -25C. Got a very warm outfit (GKX) + Windshield and hot grips.

Griz Owner,

I feel your pain. I lived in Minnesota for 12 years and now live in AZ. Went out this weekend and the temp was 66. The thing you don't always here about is in the summer it will hit 115. No fun riding in July and August. Bottomline is no matter where you live, there will be some down time.

Happy trailing!

Hey Galoot,

Come ride here in South Africa, escape the cold!!
Yesterday in Capetown it was 122 degrees!!

""Cape Town - Record maximum temperatures in many towns and cities in the Western Cape - with Vredendal recording a maximum of nearly 50°C - had many people desperately seeking ways to cool off on Sunday. ""

Man, ATVing in South Africa. THAT would be cool. Do you ever worry about what might come bounding out of the bush at you when you are out on the trails?

Bobby,

That is some serious cold mate.

Do you have trouble with Polar Bears up there? Keep safe in the cold.

Cheers Noel

That is pretty cold Bobby! I woke up this morning and it was -14C out. The only trouble around here with the cold is the amount of moisture in the air! It makes it feel twice as cold as it is! Once you get away from Lake Ontario like a couple hours north, minus -20 feels feels like plus +5 up there. They say this is going to be one of the coldest Decembers on record? I will believe that when it happens........Irv
