Hi All,

I have just put a depsoit on an 04 model Grizzly, I have only seen pics as it is in Darwin and I am in Arnhem Land and I can't fly out for another 6 weeks.

I am sure I will get unbaised advice (yeah right), I was hoping to get feed back on the Grizzly. This unit has 85 hours on it and has had regular servicing (or so I have been told).

How often would you expect to have a new machine serviced in the first 100 hours.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers Noel

I do oil changes every 30 hours, and in the case of my 02 model, I did a valve adjustment every 30 hours for the first 300 or so hours. Now that I'm over 300, I'm finding the valves are staying put better.

I've heard they corrected this problem by 04, though.

So far on my 04 only have had to do the first valve adjustment and on both me and my wifes I did not have to adjust them.

Oil changes for me are going to be around 30 or 40 the same as Rob. The book tells you longer but its cheep insurance to do it a little more often I think.

Well she is all paid up and should make the barge this Monday 28/02. I expect to pick it up from the wharf on Thursday afternoon.

I can't wait to take it for a spin.

If your like most folks I've talked to after the first few spins on a Grizzly you'll be duely impressed. These a quite powerfull machines, and a total blast to ride.

Last weekend I got my grizz back from its 20 hour service, (specificaly "valve adj/ oil change"). Seemed to run better than befor, the most noticable improvement was the cold start. It didn't seem to need as much time to warm up and run correctly with the choke off. As I understand it the valve adjustment had alot to do with all the above.

Be careful on that beast till ya get her tamed mate... and welcome to the site
