The neutral light on my '02 Grizzly sometimes works, sometimes does not. Will not start when light is off (but will start with brake on in any gear). Any ideas on the light being off?

Yea maybe the shift linkage. Thinking maybe when you pull the brake it has a little more throw in it to trip the light, and the shift leaver is set in one place if you understand what im trying to say..lol I could be all wrong also, who knowes :)

Well, tried the shift linkage thing - to no avail. I guess the next step may be the neutral switch assembly. Local cost is about $50 and not sure if that is it. If I take it to my local dealer, I could easily see $250-$350, while they replace parts... Oh well, just for the love of the ride! Rode 42 miles on Saturday, and much of it was dusty roads - ate enough to plant potatoes...
