my friends grizzly is leaking oil. I think i found where it is leaking from. there is a black "plug" that is behind the pull start. you have to remove the pull start to see it. we tighen the plug up. but what is this plug for? also to he notice that somtimes he checks the oil it is low then other time he checks it its to much oil. he bought the atv used so he don't have any books for it. my question is he is putting to much oil in it? and that is why it is leaking from that plug?

thanks

The black plug your talking about is probably the timing hole cover, there are marks on the flywheel behind that plug that you line up with the slot in that hole to adjust the intake and exhaust valves.
