2005 Grizzly 660. Oil is contaminated w fuel and is being consumed at a quick rate. Smokes when warm and going uphill. Is this indicative of piston ring issues?

Try shutting the fuel petcock let it sit overnight then try starting with the petcock closed, If it won't start you have a stuck float filling your crank case!

Turned the fuel off in the morning after chores started up at 7:30 pm and got halfway down the driveway before it died. Still thinkin rings. I replaced the cylinder head 1000 miles ago. What do you think? Will a compression test tell me if the rings are messed up?
Thanks for your response, bobmmor!
My Rhino 660 has gas in fuel. Fowls the sparkplug and overfills the oil revoir with gas/ oil mixture .An aftermarket mechanic put an electric fuel pump on it a couple of years ago. Could this be the problem?
