Need to replace the outer boot on the rear left side(next to the bearing, not the differential) I know that one of the boots can be replaced without having to remove the other boot, I can't recall which one..inner or outer.

I've never had to do it, but I believe the outside boot is fairly easy to replace. Do you have the maintenance manual?

Unfortunately the inner boot is easier to replace because since it is the outer boot you have to take the inner off to replace the outer. Still not hard just more grease and mess plus two extra boot bands needed. Although you may be able to reuse the old bands on the old boot and get away with no harm being done.

Why would you have to take the inner boot off.
