I am new to the Grizzly side of the house. I have been living on the Rincon side but recently was shown the light of how WONDERFUL the grizzly is. I am now a proud owner of an 04 Grizzly 660.

My question is simply do any of you know what is a good water tight rear storage box (hard type) with a padded seat/back rest for my wife. I want a good fit on the back rack of the grizzly without having overhand or being to small for the rack...If anyone has any ideas or thoughts on this please let me know.

Also, I will be needing to change the oil soon (now have 35 miles/5 hours)and have NO clue where the stuff is. All I can see is plastic. How do I get to teh drain plug (are there more than 1) and the oil fill hole...also, what type of oil should I use? The dealer told me that anything other than Castrol GTX...this sounds odd to me and I just wanted to get clarification (does it use a wet clutch?? and requires specific type oil?)

thanks for your help!

about 20 hours for the first oil change, any good oil will work as long as it doesn't have friction modifiers in it most of them (synthetic type anyway say energy saving)I use synthetic in mine 20W50 summer 0W40 in winter. There is a hole in the center skid plate for the drain bolt for the crankcase oil. I remove the front and middle skid plates when I change oil, helps prevent a mess on the garage floor and allows me to clean any accumulated brush and leaves out at the same time.
The owners manual has lots of that info in it, its located under the seat in the storage bin

Hey Jason? Welcome to the Grizz forum and congrats on your purchase. BTW I hang out on the Rincon forum also.

To give my 2cents on the storage box question I purchased the Moose Sportsman box and have it on my wifes Grizz. After looking at almost all the boxes I could find on the net and in mags. this is the one that came out the best to me. Fits the racks of the grizz real nice with no hang over and provides plenty of storage for all the items we carry. The only thing that I added was some weather stripping around the lid to seal out the dust and any water that would get by. So far so good.

Well have fun with the Grizzly!!
