If I have bought my Grizzly from a "Grey Dealer" as opposed to an Authorised Yamaha Dealer, I wonder what would have happened.

My Grizzly had a 6 months warranty.

After 12 months my rear left axle popped out.
Yamaha fixed it under warranty, no charge.

A few weeks later the right rear axle/cv popped out.
Yamaha fixed it under warranty, no charge.

Three weeks later, Both CV's popped out again.

Yamaha fixed it under warranty at no cost again.

I am pretty sure I would have been on my own if i had bought it "Grey market"

I would most certainly have spent far more than I would have saved

My personal reccomendation would be, ONLY BUY DIRECT FROM A YAMAHA DEALER!

I agree, remember what that woman Dawn went through?? She had no luck with a very legit claim.......Irv

I bought mine through a Yamaha dealer, but I get them serviced at the Honda dealership. They have Yamaha authorized techs and can do warenty service. I wouldn't let the Yamaha guys change a light bulb.

Can anyone tell me if the Silver Tip is available in the US? Also, is the Specisl Edition pretty easy to find?

I tried to post a new thread but it didn't work for me.
