I noticed a few months ago that my Grizzly is using a lot of oil. I change oil every 30 hours and have been using Castrol Act-Evo since it's second oil change.

Anyway, by 15 hours, I'm down over a quart and have to add more. When I change it, I'm down at least another half quart if not more.

When I start it, there's lots of blue smoke until it warms up. If I rev it, it blows lots of white smoke. This all goes away once warm.

Jetting has not changed in two years, nor has where I ride. The air filter gets cleaned at each oil change. I'm pretty meticulous about maintenance.

The machine has about 3600 miles on it. I know it's early, but it seems to me that I might need a ring job, and possibly new valve seats.

What do you guys think?

Not yet. As soon as I have the time and can get to my tool chest where the tester is, I'll do it. Any idea what it should be? 4200' elevation... Also should I do it with the motor warm or cold?

Looks like that may be a good question especially at your elevation. Sea level its around 185 psi and every time I have checked before or even seen a few people do it on other bikes it has always been cold. Sorry can't help more on the elevation thing.
